For a change of scenery we decided to stop bothering the Newbiggin cod and poach a few from further north , with a decent forcecast launched 10am into a calm flooding beach heading for the end of the bondicars into 50ish ft . Tide had already started to flood as we dropped the cadges as tide swung the yak into the tide I dropped my two hook flappers baited with cocktails of lug, dirty squid and mackerel strangely the top hooks were taking the fish didn't matter what combo was on them . Plenty codlings up to three n half lb with lots of small put back , went quiet so decided to move closer in into rough/kelpy ground to try and winkle out a lunker , worth the move for the last hour taking a brace of 5lb with bonus roe . Wind completely dropped about 1pm and we landed at high tide at 2pm was like a summers day .https://i.imgur.com/KreTcVa.jpg?1 - Click image for larger version Name:	2Hzw1CH.jpg?4.jpg Views:	0 Size:	66.7 KB ID:	1583479
