Good things come to those who wait-sometimes!

I can tell you it was one heck of a trip I ended up with a big box of mackerel, about a dozen codling odd pout and whiting and I was only there for an hour, mind Colin couldn't get me a ling, maybe tomorrow, that was while my six year old grandson paid for the fish by helping the lads clean the boat and thanks to Allan and crew for carrying fish to the car. Nice to meet you Mark and Lynn, will have a longer chat next time and pleased you enjoyed the trip.

Indeed Alan. Did you go out after we came in? Sounds like a great hour or so! :)

Get in Mark it came good in the end you were on fire today...I could tell this morn yourself and Lynn were up for it . Pleased Lynn caught some crackers aswell. I didn't fair well at all the day mark I had the macky no probs and a solitary teenie tiny ting!! Lol shads would not do the biz th day either nor the 80 mussel I shelled last night till 12.15am. Tight lines Mark and Lynn I have thoroughly enjoyed your reports, hopefully you have enjoyed your stay in Geordie land just as much :-):-):-)

the farthest we went out was to turn round and moor at the opposite side about 100yards trip. Obvious you don't know I have a partial liking to mackerel and most other species that swin in the sea, but especially mackerel and as I can't fish myself anymore, arthritis and disc problems, so get a helping hand from Allan and the crew of JFK, much easier than catching them yourself always manage to get a few fish when taking photos at open events. Must admit I miss having my boat and able to fish.

excellent report mark with some good pics great end to your hols in Geordie land.:red:
I am so pleased that you and the good lady had a good day out on the JFK .
enjoy the rest of your hols m8 sure you will

Very well done on your trip, well deserved for your determination. Was out myself for an hour this morning and the weather was magnificent but had to come in early for an appointment worst luck.
Hope you enjoy the rest of your hols:cool:

Made up for you both, sorry never got to meet you this time round but pleased as punch that the skipper sorted you out ;)

NESA at its best :)

Tony we would have loved to meet you too, but hopefully next year. We have decided to take a full 2 weeks next time, as we have loved our time in Whitley Bay.

So depressed to be going home tomorrow! :(

Its 90miles further but have you never fancied Whitby or Scarb for a week away, i love the odd day down that way and the fishing is just as good as the Tyne...just an idea.

They have a lotto grant to sort whitley bay out so it maybe all change next year.

Richy we spent last year at Whitby. Caravan Park is 50 mins away, so we had to add 2 hours each day to a 10hr trip. Four trips, fishing poor, so we said no to that again!

We love Whitley Bay, plenty of charter choices close at hand, great restaurants in Tynemouh, lovely scenery, so we will be back again next year for sure..............and for the full 2 weeks this time!!
