Jimmy it a piece of cake this time of the year-they go for lures like fritzes, Dawsons olives or cats whiskers. I use the ones with the brass bead heads. Long snood of about 12 ft on an intermediate line so your nearly on the bottom. Pull it in short sharp tugs and the fish cannot resist them. Its a bit like spinning for mackeral but easier on the old arms.
The hard bit is when they start on the flys. Thats a whole new ball game. I like the old floating line with a mayfly,daddy long legs type of floating fly on the end of your snood. the fish come up like an exocet missile and you pap yourself cos you have only a split second to strike.
