Fishing Horden

Hi all ,

New to forum, just started fishing again after a 5 year lull (last fished steetley), finally got me gear out of th loft!

Started to take my son for the first time, he's 9 now , we fished seaton beach infront of north gare a couple of weeks ago hopeing for some Flatties or a Bass & he enjoyed it. no luck though.

Fancy fishing Horden again, i use to park around the houses at Cotsford Lane and walk onto the beach that way and fish there . this is the Only mark iv'e fished .

Is this the place to fish or is there any other marks?

How is it fishing latley/ this time of year? , thinking of giving it a try with the little one on Saturday.

Any tips for fishing Horden will be much appreciated.

Plenty of reports from hordon looking forward to fishing it again,

useto fish steetley alot but missus not to keen on taking son on! good to see that you don't have to sneak on anymore

beach has changed a bit since the last storms, not heard of much coming off of late, i was going to do a fair bit on there this week if the weather had stayed sunny,needless to say the plans of mice and men, the rivers is totally empty so no fresh going out across the beach further up, muds dried up a fair bit as well, just be carefull parking your car

dosnt sound promising eh? looks like theres gonna be a slight northeastery by sat , might stir thing up abit.

would you say that where ill be fishing will me as good as anywhere on the beach?

been searching ,loads of good reports for it, but not sure where 2 fish , from where i use to fish called dean holme? ( 50 yards either way from where i walk onto the beach)

hi mate and welcome to nesa. Were you walk on to the beach go left and about 300yrds to the left there is sum bushers on the top of the banks try and fish in front of them. a cast of about 50yrds should put you on to flatties. Best bait will be peeler or ragworm & squid.

will give it a shot ,got rag & squid , car packed gettin there bout 12ish fishing 3 up & 2 down, 3 oclock high water i think. fingers crossed the little 1 catches his first fish.

Fished from 12 till 4.30 yesterday , found PRIMO MAN mark i think, ad good day but not fish showed just plenty of Crabs baits getting stripped within 15 mins not to worry , little fella loved it , he spent all day skimming stones.

at least you tryed mate. I will be starting to fish the beach again once the water clears up.
