fish smokers

Hello all

I bought my self a food smoker last year but only had the chance to use it once,but didnt like the taste that the supplied wood chips gave the food.Does anybody know what type of chippings are used, to give the flavour that you get from a smoked cod or haddock bought from a fish shop & where could i get them

i use apple & cherry tree branches,,if ya have a electric saw,ie bench,circular,ideal to get sawdust,then put the sawdust somewhere dry & warm to dry out,i also use safron to give it it's colour,!!!!!
