stayed in whitehills last night pansys original port due to a little steering problem with steering - sqeaky noises and dugga dugga sounds. Just made it in before nightfall, I am now officially known as chief ladder man as well as my other varied and essential roles - leaping salmon and mountain goats were mentioned. due to the stress of tying big knots in rope as thick as slesses neck and only having mastered the going up the ladder bit I was forced to remain shoreside in me nice green wellies with only a bottle of speyside malt for company until the lads sorted things out on deck. Few pints in the local madhouse where we met an old fella who's great grandad owned the first pansy. Earlyish start as we'd moved her to a safer mooring point and we had to wait until half tide before our little stumpy boat ladders reached high enough to let ladder boy do what he does best. Mark had done a few things with what they call "tools" when I wasn't watching so everything fettled off we went. We had Rattray head to contend with - the dodgiest bit of water so far, 3 conflicting tidal flows, huge underwater bank and weather forecast of 5-6 we reaching 7. Then things went all interesting! Bbl to finish report as this och aye phone. We are layer up in Peterhead and glad to be alive! Marc has only just recovered from the world's first known case of "sea phlegm-ness" and we're pumping water out of my lovely living room (the carpet will have to can). Mark's squirting toothpaste into the cracks that have opened at the mo. pansy performed well though in
