Travelled 60 miles to the rocks between Dunstanburgh Castle and Craster today, trying to catch that lunker we all seek. The sea state looked good, the wind picked up quickly to gale force. Had a few casts, lost ? sets of gear (which was expected). The wind became so strong that I could hardly stand up in the battering, I was finally forced to pack up when it started raining, without a sniff. Several other anglers were out, fishing the small harbour wall but did not get chance to ask if they had caught anything. This is the first time to this area and was not sure of the marks, can anyone help me out, and give me some advice, where to fish for the next time I go there?

Only fished in the summer spinning behind the castle. Looks a nightmare for tackle loss. Fished off boats from Craster and tackle loss high.
