Me and mad rob fancied shields pier hoping for a wrasse for the species hunt got there at 10ish with 2 rods each
There was a few makki getting caught so put on a zenith spinner on and caught 4 on the little rod and rob got 7 and a new species for him
Then Fishingmark came along we all started bait fishing with us all catching dabs n flounders and the odd whiting coming up mark was catching double shots of dabs . the makki seemed to go off for a few hours
We planned to fish further down to marks wrasse hotspot float fishing
Met up with Bucky off Nesa what a character never laughed so much especially when I seen a photo of him doing extreme fishing on the west coast naked lol
Went down the pier for a couple of hours to try for a wrasse
Me and mark both caught 5 bearded rocklings looked like albinos lol
The lads set up with the floats and I put a 2 hook flapper rigs on with size 4 hooks and I put it against the wall on the bay side which resulted in my 1st ballan wrasse of the year and the species list
A lovely deep red fish then to finish the session a nice little scorpion fish
Great banter as always and the weather was warm but very windy hoping for another trip away to buckys smoothound hotspot or back down holderness or Eyemouth
