What a cracking day to be out, 016 (2).jpg John, Stevie and I left Royal Quays around 8am and headed up North as far as St Mary's where the tide was just starting to ebb. The water was gin clear and the gentle South Westerly breeze generated enough movement to keep our lures working well. We picked up fish from the very first drop and within a very short time we had reached our agreed quota. We were joined by the angling boats Merlin, Popeye and Take it Easy who were also taking advantage of this late season opportunity and looked to be catching freely.
When the tide run stopped the bites dried up so we headed back to Royal Quays and were on the Zetland for a coffee before 3pm.
The sun was in our eyes for most of the day, we were all landing fish, hard to believe it's just 5 days until Christmas eve.

The fish and the reports keep coming right up to the end of the year. That's a nice early Christmas present for you all!
I hope Grace is well secured because as usual the weekend weather is taking a turn for the worse.
