Evening Arthur,There is a launching ramp just upriver from the marina at Amble. I think you just pay a launch fee to the harbour master and there is loads of parking not far from the ramp for your car and trailer.As for the fishing, inside three miles I would head South and fish the head at Hauxley, the Northern Hills and further South again to Creswell skeers. That's if the water s clear! If its dirty I would be fishing up off the castle at Dunstanburgh. if you are heading up let me know and I will dig some lats and longs out for you.Weather being good we are going to have a shot at the Farne deep wrecks, fingers crossed!Graham.
