Blyth pier

Was thinking about giving blyth pier a shot on Saturday. Can anyone tell me if there's owt been getting caught up there recently? Also is the little barrier still stopping you park up beside the foot of the pier?

Yes the barrier is still there, u need to park where you 1st turn in off main road, outside the caravan storage compound (unless u have a disabled badge I have been informed?).

Mainly small stuff being caught, but got a 2lb Haddock there last week just after dusk.

Lug n crab, off the very end.
Was a fish a chuck for a short while on most baits but got quiet toward LW.
Only got out for bout 2 hrs, but it was a canny session for a work night and saved me the trauma of shopping

me too think mines ready for replacing after about 8yrs probs only 3 yrs use tho lol

Beware of the beach mate the fishermen put salmon/cod nets out sometimes and it's quite hard to tel when there out. Ian gunna give the pier a bash after my shift tonight n see if it spits anything out, il post if I catch

They wont let you through with disabled badge unless you are member of yacht club (believe me ive tried)they used too mind can only presume something was said or done to stop it.

they wouldnt let my stepdad through with his badge...he was told he has to apply for a permit from the harbour.
