Beach and rocks fixed spool

I'm just after a little info if possible. I'm thinking about getting a fixed spool to use on my big rods and was wondering what you lads use? I've looked at the Penn Affinity 8000, Surfblaster 8000 and also just been looking at the Ultegra XC-S 14000. What do you guys use on your big rods? I will be using it clean and also rough ground so would like one which could be used on both and also would it be best with braid and a mono leader? I was just going to use the fixed spool on my multi rods for the time being as I didn't want to get any of my rods rebuilt. Maybe after a while then go out and buy a rod built for fixed spool. Ultegra is a very nice reel mate ideal for both rough ground and beaches mate

Ultegra all day. Have the 10 and the 14 and they're both great for casting and bringing in the fish.

All the letters and model numbers mean bugger all - model numbers and minor technical differences.

i have the surfblaster/affinity 8000 size both plus a ultegra xsc 1000 and only diff i find is the shiman is a lot smoother quiter looks better but thats about it for me.

About £150 apart from that not a great deal to be honest, slightly better internals that's all I can see.

Got the affinity a couple of weeks ago matched it up with a cinnetic cautiva rod. Used it up Etive last week and to say i was impressed was an understatement. Line lay is excellent casts like a dream handled lots of spurdogs to over 10lb with ease (often with weed monsters attached too)
As a side note the Cinnetic Cautiva rod was excellent too. A great rod/reel setup for under £300 (£288 if i remember right)
