I really see what the point is attacking people on their lifestyle,other then to simply divert the attention away from the point of this debate,over fishing by trawlers.
Many people an here may have faults of many types,do we really need to debate them,i feel we don't.
I have seen the same reaction many times,instead of focusing on the problem we try to divert attention away as though highlighting suspected failing in others will lessen the " crime" we are commiting.
As in commercial fishermen not you.
As to caring if we didn't fish,have you not seen the many articles on news and other progs on just this problem.
There have been many,so many people do know of the problem and would care simply because the fav fish to go with their chips is slowly being wiped out.
So again i fail to see the point of that comment.
I feel that there has been a range of opinions expressed on here and in the main they are balanced,but the fact remains that the demise of cod is down to over fishing and lack of correct managment of a resource by the governments and the trawlers themselve.
They are now feeing the backlash on that,that may feel uncomfortable but they will have to accept,things are going to change and the free for all must end.
