7 lb cod blyth pier Sunday night

Went to Blyth pier to try my luck, had crap bait compared to my comps and blanked the last 3 . Caught a codling about 1lb 12 then just put a load of mussel on the hook, and I struck into a 7 pounder, like to say thanks to the lad who hand balled it up for me, I fished about 40 metres before the bend, a lad come off with a bag of cod about 21 lb in weight using carp. He got them 2 hrs b4 High water, I got mine 2 hrs after High water, very rough sea.

Well done on the catch m8 I nearly went on there sat night but looked like to many rods but was talking to a lad in the car park and said there was a lot of fish being caught just off the bend biggest was 6lb

cracking result m8 blyth seems to be fishing good after dark anyone been out during the day fishing the beach pier or the jetty
