WOOOOOOHOOOOO, Just hit the 400 members milestone..........and it\'s George Dodds.......one of ther lads from where I work :P

Hi George, good to see you decided to join us :D

Some of you may have seen the post I put in SHORE FISHING, asking for advice on a suitable rod for a young\'n.........it\'s Georges\' young\'n.

George, have a look at the topic \"JUNIOR SIZED RODS\".......some canny suggestions in there.

I know you\'ve got lots of questions about sea fishing......doesn\'t matter how \"basic\" you think they are......we\'ve ALL been there. All advice is given freely on NESA and there\'s a wealth of angling experience here to draw upon..........remember........ NONE OF US IS AS CLEVER AS ALL OF US..........lol.......(sorry lads....in-house joke.... ;) )

Welcome aboard George, no matter what you need to know about fishing if someone on here doesn\"t know the answer he will know someone that does.

Jim.

Welcome George, hope you enjoy it as much as i have mate,if you don\'t ask you\'ll never know ! best of luck ! :D

OK, OK.......I was waitin\' for somebody to spot that....lol

I changed the member categories a couple of weeks ago......

I didn\'t like the \"newbie\", \"junior member\", \"member\", \"senior member\" thing .......and the number of posts needed to \"progress\" through the rankings\".........There\'s now NO junior member rank and the senior member has been replaced by old timer (apologies if this causes any ageism issues....lol).
I\'ve also cut the number of posts required to move up the rankings.

Actually, I\'m thinking of doing away with the ranking system completely.........that would mean peeps losing their stars, though......and I know how some are proud of attaining theirs.......lol

Tony some of us OLDIE\"S would probably not be bothered about losing a few stars lol. I thought it was hilarious when some nice person mentioned it a few weeks ago. I would rather lose them than decent fish lol.

Jim.

very proud m8,think we should have a poll Tony lol ?

Errmmm......
Been so long since I altered the rankings, I got the above details wrong.

The old ranking system was:
newbie 1 post
jnr member 2 posts
member 100 posts
snr member 500 posts
posting freak 1000 posts

To enable members to progress through the rankings a bit quicker, they are now;

newbie 1 post
jnr member 2 posts
member 25 posts
snr member 250 posts
old timer 700 posts

Sorry chaps, but \"old timer\" is top of the shop and no more stars after that... :( :(

\"think we should have a poll Tony lol ?\"

Naa......I\'ve had enough of this \"democracy\" business........time to be a bit of a dictator.........if that\'s alright with everyone......lol ;)

well i for one like the new ratings lol it was terrible being a 40 year old jnr member, the reason tony wont go higher than old timer is itl put him top of the list with a decrepid rating or something similar ;)
