The popular Trident Series of fishing kayaks from Ocean Kayak now come with even more advanced features including a Modular Fishing Pod. The pod, located in the centre of the kayak, allows the flexible use of equipment and can be used for mounting rods and tackle trays. It even has a built in ruler to make sure the catch is legal. Further improvements to the Trident Series are a Comfort Tech™ seat back and a skid plate.
The Comfort Tech™ seat back is higher to give additional back support and make paddling easier and more efficient. The new seat also has a ventilation system and as with all Ocean Kayak’s advanced seats it can be fully adjusted to suit the individual wearer. The skid plate under the skeg at the stern protects the hull and can be replaced if worn.
Prowler Tridents are perfect for covering long distances and three models are available in this series at 11’ 5” (3.5m), 13’ 6” (4.1m) and 15’ 7½” (4.8m) respectively. All come with Rod Pods and flush mounted rod holders.
Large bow hatches with the Cross Lock™ Buckle System provide dry storage and rear tank wells with bungees give easy access to additional equipment. Stout carry handles, paddle keepers and anchor fixing points are also included and models can be fitted with an optional rudder system.
The Prowler Trident 13 and 15 have a Sonar Shield™ to provide a mounting and storage system for a fish finder and come with transducer compatible scuppers. The Prowler Trident 11 and 13 have adjustable foot braces.
