Pirks, both chrome and fast drop in orange did well for me, shads of all sizes with white and orange ones fishing best, a few flowing traces, large cutbait shads (best add a second hook to the tail end to get more hook up's) a pirking rod and a lighter rod. We found loads of cod in 40-65m of water and the bigger fish in 90-120m of water...halibut can turn up anywhere but if you target them try flat bottom areas in a area with little tide rip..i.e small bait fish hold up to rest.
Its been a hard month by all the reports over there but still loads of fish. Good luck fire away anymore questions

Gordon im currently working in Cork and the fishing is fantastic loads of Bass and Conger .I have heard the fishing is good both off the shore and off the boats ,its not worth the commercial guys catching them the quota is so small.I have 4 bed house over here so if you a fancy fishing trip come over .

karl, whats happening mate. had loads of cod of shore, mostly up north but some from big hole on blyth beach. lets know what your up to. cheers mate
