Not North East news, maybe, but those of you planning the trip across to the North West may be saddened to hear that the inaugural Liverpool Boat Show, due to take place between April 29th and May 8th 2011, has been cancelled due to the current economic climate.
A statement on the organiser’s website began:
“MARINE Industry Events (MIE), the organiser of the 2011 Liverpool Boat Show, has today announced the cancellation of the inaugural event.
MIE cited the damaging effects of the economic climate in the leisure marine sector impacting on exhibitor take-up for the event and said the integrity of the long term potential for a major boat show in Liverpool needed to be protected.”
