Honda Marine has extended its partnership with premium Finnish boatbuilder AMT (Advanced Marine Technology), with the launch of two new boats for the UK market exclusively equipped with Honda outboards.
The launch further extends the successful strategic alliance enjoyed between Honda and AMT since 2009, which saw the introduction of the AMT 185BR and AMT 170BR. This initial agreement was the first step in Honda’s boatbuilder alliance programme, offering full boat packages in partnership with leading manufacturers in key markets – the complete ‘turnkey’ solutions that many UK customers are increasingly looking for.
The AMT 230DC is a large 6.8m day-cruiser – the company’s flagship model. Alongside it sits the smaller AMT 150R, its first 4.5m boat, offering the many unique attributes of AMT craft at a more affordable price. Both are available from selected Authorised Honda dealers in the UK now, fitted exclusively with a BF250 and BF40 respectively.
AMT is regarded by Honda as an ideal partner due to its strong and established reputation for design, styling, build quality and a very versatile range, offering the high standards that Honda customers have come to expect. The company has been developing and building premium leisure boats for more than 20 years, with a particular focus on 5m and 6m models.

The AMT 230DC offers the ultimate in versatility and quality, making it ideal for both day cruises and longer excursions. Designed to give top-class ‘sporty’ performance but with a smooth, safe and comfortable ride, it features a wide range of additional equipment and can accommodate a party of eight. A large open space with a U-shaped couch is the focal point of the living area, which can be easily adapted into a sun deck or extra bed. The open area can be covered with a canopy, still leaving enough space for standing underneath and giving complete protection from the weather even at cruising speeds. Under the front deck is a cabin which sleeps two adults.
The AMT 150R is the company’s first model in the increasingly popular 4.5m category. The deep V-bottom ensures a comfortable, soft ride, and the wide bow directs water splashes to the sides, keeping passengers dry. With a very sturdy hull, the boat is durable and stable, further ensuring safety and comfort. Designed for a smaller engine than many of its competitors, it delivers excellent performance very efficiently, with a 30HP engine sufficient to carry two people at 25 knots. The new model is incredibly versatile, very well suited as a fishing boat or tender.
The new models are available from selected Authorised Honda dealers now. The AMT 150R is priced from £7,447.00 including VAT (boat only) and the AMT 230DC from £25,822.00 including VAT (boat only).
