S/S Big beach again,

Had a shot on the big beach again last night, canny little sech, Carl, Sigsy and myself taking 10 fish between us, a mixture of flatties whitey and coalys, mostly small stuff but 3 fish on size, one flounder a good whitey and a cracking coaly. Bait used was rag, macky and bluey.

i was on last night aswell i must of walked past you's i was the furthest to the right of the beach ended up with 4 1 coalie size

I was fishing it also, just to the left.

Pretty poor, only 1 u/s flounder and Col had 2 u/s flounder.

Worst session for awhile from the Big Beach for us.

I was infront of the life guard hut also same night had 8 palm sized flatties, a small bass, codling and coaly all undersize, the fish came on the feed for a short time over high tide I found, was it the same for you lads? very little before or after.

I was using two rods though, it's a shame we didn't speak, I know Brashy and Cawtoot.

lol the beach was full of us, will have to remember to use the secret hand shake next time so we know who we all are lol.

You dont nead to cast that far, 60 yards and you should find fish, i dont think i can send a 2 hook flapper anywhere near 200 yards lol

I had the bass rod at 60yds and the beachcaster at around 90yds just to get over the breakers but most of the time when fishing there I only cast 40yds especially at low tide which in my opinion is the best time for the beach.

Will have to say hello to you next time. I'm hoping to be there on Sunday at low tide in the evening lads.

waders gets u way out more.. just make sure you have alot of line on as you'll be coming back on to beach id say 150yds with waders & try gettin on thos sand bars!! extra again..

150 yard on a low and you'll be over them lol

My missus has out-fished me twice this winter cos she can only cast 15yards (on Northumbrian beaches). Can't believe I've been wasting years wading out and whacking it out as far as possible when the sea is calm.
