blyth this mornin

managed to drag me self from me pit this morning and was on the pier just before first light (bout quart to 4) and at last got me first macky of the summer on me spinning rod wahey got about 15 between then until about 5:15 when it just went off. think it was jimmy that mentioned it earlier in the week that as soon as the sun started to poke through that was it, nee more, and the same was obviously true this morning. kept 8 of the larger fellows and the rest swam off to fight another day. hung on till about 6 45 hoping for a flattie or two on fresh macky but no luck. not to worry, enjoyed me sesh and what a lovely calm mornin it was till next time.........

Nice one.
I've always prefered Blyth pier on an early morning, hardly any kids around. With work and house stuff i've yet to get down spinning this year so far.

Yeah mate ya correct i did mention it.Was on roker pier last night and got about a dozen but returned 6 as they were smaller ( i prefer to handle them with a cloth soaked in sea water) also caught 2 big sandeels,by big i mean massive compared to the sandeels you get in tackle shops.But by 6am the macky had all gone except for a few stragglers



GLAD ya enjoyed ya sesh mate,its great sport especially when you hook into 3or4 of them on ya light spinning gear
