well after twisting it round in my mind for a few weeks and getting no where i will have to do the yank option and try getting help by committee ( i used to mod on a yank car forum and they need 300 folks to talk to them before they work out if a nut comes of to the left or the right )

so to the question :)

i want to get a rod for beach work
( i mainly fish hendon beach if that helps )
i want some thing that casts to infinity and beyond, can deal with 6oz and a bad caster, will show me when a blenny is taking a nibble and is stable in the wind
for a multiplier btw
i dont mind if its new or second hand
oh and costs as little as possible :o

i know easy isn't it , so many to choose from :p

any thoughts ?

A century C Curve (3c) would suit your needs.

If your after any advice regarding any Reelsport or Century rod then give Terry Wood a bell on 01914226298 or check out his website Home

bazw. i will give you the same advice that I give everybody when asking abpout rods/reels etc. What suits somebody else may quite well not suite you. Best thing is to try a few, borrow one off somebody or even ask a tackle shop if you could have a go.

reelsport response for me,ive got 2 so if your ever comming through to south shields gis a pm and you can borrow 1 for a sesh

never even knew these existed any one know which blank they are based on ?

Black Knight - love it, I've actually got one of them, it's great just never heard anyone rave about them. Good price and solid as rock and making another local tackle dealer some hard earned as well hopefully.

god i hope i get this right.
it was designed for the all rounder market, excellent bite detection, and a good back bone for the rough stuff.
i use mine for flattie matches and its spot on for bite detection and also for the kelp fishing i do in the winter yet again cant fault the rod.
also good value for money imho.
hope this helps baz

they sound good ,will have to have a get together soon to try it , will pm you in a mo when i get off the phone , thanks

Black Night is a century carbon metal dipped black, so if thats what you want then save yourself some cash and get the standard carbon metal, same rod just a diff colour blank

i said tip t because the guy in rutherfords (andy is it ? ) said it was a tornado blank it was made on and it was £199 so cheaper than a ccm

Reelsport Response, very good rod have used one for 7 months now and very impressed for the money. A English made rod built I believe on a CTT mandrill
a quality English company, designed by a local tackle dealer and Angler and built to his spec. Longer Butt than my TTS and much more forgiving whist casting, brilliant bite detection, have used it on the rocks and sand.
Recommended for the money.
The £40 rod on here was the bargain of the year.

I haven't had a chance to try it yet but I'm hoping it's a bit easier to cast with than my RT Axellerator which I could never get away with.
