does anyone no if alanmouth is fishing at the moment i was thinkin about goin up at the weekend for a day out or if any other beaches up that way is fishing just for a bit fun

The beaches are fishing ok, but mainly for smallish fish.The river is poor at the moment.
I'd be tempted to try Killicrankie.

(Don't mean to barge in on this thread) but is Killicrankie on Warkworth Beach? Or have I got that all wrong?
By small fish, do you mean flatties?

I've heard that about the river Tony. Apparently hardly any flats in the estuary! Used to be flatty hotspot.

It's been a poor start to the flatty bashing season on the river Rory, very disappointing.
