yes sea has flattened off theres a canny few fishing Roker pier at the moment.

when looking down onto the beach it does look fairly moderate but ive just had a walk along the end of roker and its still a good sea, was on the end for an hour and seen about 4 codlings come in aswell as some whitey, biggest codling about 4lb

Was down a canny bit this afternoon a lad who gets down regularaly had a cod touching 8lb he caught it on ragworm and squid of the roundhead also seen a few others come in. But it was blowing of gale up on the roundhead there was more whiting caught whilst i was there then cod, that wind is a problem the best place is behind the wall to have any shelter, Still think we need a long spell of north east or north westerly winds to bring some good cod in or even a slight south easterly has given up some good catches along with big tides.

Aye, canny bloke the one who caught the cod. He was chuffed to bits and had been on pier all day.
