Was gonna have a run up to lynemouth with tommyc but thought it would be too flat so we hit the rocks at the back if the kings arms in seaton sluice got there just after high water and fished off the cliff for around 30 mins untill the tide dropped off enough to get down to sea level and on my second chuck i landed a small rockling.
As the tide dropped to low both me and tom had some great pulls but didnt come to anything
Just as the tide started to flood again i was given a little slack line but no fish again a bit of slack line and a good pull once tightened instantly i knew i was into a good fish, a personal best cod of 9lb came out if the water at my feet.
I was sooo pleased after the few good ones ive lost this fish just tops it for me
Baits were fresh crab fresh blacks and mussell on pulley rigs
