Abu question!

hi all just recieved my first mag elite threw post but was wondering what the big silver knob on the mag side is for?? iknow the other knob on the handle side is for spool play so whats the other one for? at the moment its set on 6?? im not a newbie angler its just ive never had an abu with this in before

That is the spool float adjustment.

It's for centralising the spool and also as the other guy said acts as a spool end float tensioner

is it not the magnet control if it is set on 6 it moves low to high. davy.

dont think so davy cause the mag control is where the line out clicker would be mate!
think im agreeing with beachbuddy on thisone
by the way will be sending you a pic of your old 600oc in a few days you mite be supprised at what you see mate!!

If its the green one mate it's the mag control at least it is on mine as for the clicker I opened my reel up and disabled it I find them a pain unless your on a boat hope that helps

The handle end plate has the same nob but without the numbers,just centralise the spool and use opposite end with numbers on to tension the spool rl hope this is of some use

The one on the handle side centres the spool and the other is the mechanical brake, on the unmagged ones anyway. Same set up as a 7HT turb

rite i have it from a very good source that the black slider(would be the line out clicker on earlier models)is the mag control and the two knobs either side control the end float and tieghtness of the spool
thank god we got there in the end!
