D day (the big game)

I thought the ref was spot on, Cattermole stupidly set the yellow card tempo but the ref kept control. There's no way anyone can say either of the pelantys were harsh and if there was any other ref in charge it could of ended up 5-a-side.

if you thought cattermoles challenge was a red card offence in the first 45 seconds then im glad you are not a referee.

If thats the case then tiote should of been sent off, he accumulated more fouls in that game than anyone, and the challenge where he ran his studs down cattermoles ankle went unnoticed.

the 63% of posession would be down to sunderland playing with 10 men, i notice not a lot talk about your first half performance as it was awful.

Typical idiotic geordies.

Typical deby and i called it spot on Sunderland to score first and us to push on in the last 20mins, some poor football, poor decisions and more of a rugby match than football.

Dicked on first half, harsh pen but a pen, second half came out the blocks and only got better after the sending off...shame to see both managers going at it on live TV and acting on both teams was poor.

But as i said before typical derby and the score i though it would be, going to cost Sunderland more with the fantastic Ses sent off and the captain.

My last words on the match, looking at the Arsenal game away now....1-1 there i be happy with but feel RVP will rip us a new one.
Stange that you mags were calling Arsenal a poor team only two weeks ago:rolleyes::rolleyes:

is that how you look at football if a team is poor one week means there poor all season i think not we might get something down Arsenal you never know we got a point of them at home more than yous got ;)

first half

first half

first half shocker for the Toon, appalling in fact...if they'd come out like that in the second half SAFC would have deserved to win by a cricket score.

Think the ref had a very good game - the penalty as much as you hate it to go against you was correct. Same with the red card - no denying Tiote made a meal of it but what can you do? :D

Won't deny a few bitten nails going into the last few minutes but all hail Shola...should get the keys to ASDA in my eyes :p and a statue to boot

Couldn't give a rats ass about the corporate branding either "Virgins at ASDA"

LOL #ifitworks

Feels like we got beat Newcastle had 63% off possession and when skumberland were reduced to eleven men thought that was it but I suppose it's another season where we come out top dogs smbs
NEWCASTLE WOULD NOT have got anything from Todays game had sess not been sent off, even playing Ten men it took you deep into injury time to pinch a point. I can not defend Sess he raised his hand and as a result he was quite rightly sent off.......... however Tiote's much delayed and over the top reaction to the kind of slap seen every day in the school play ground was a embarrassment to witness, ....hard man? don't make me laugh! his play acting was shameful.Sunderland bossed the first half and were dealing nicely with the expected early pressure from Newcastle in the second, before going down to ten men. Obviously the sending off meant that from that point on Newcastle were always going to be on the front foot and we would be playing with our backs to the wall. Ba's penalty was not missed it was quite brilliantly saved by a keeper who IMO had his best game in a Sunderland shirt. We have once again showed that we are now becoming a difficult side to beat and no one who saw Todays game could can dispute that. Oh I nearly forgot......:) it will be very interesting to see how Newcastle manage to perform when they meet a team describe recently by their supporters as a very poor Arsenal team.

As you were saying about Sess it is all his own fault. When a foul is made any player of any team will milk it for all the can. Sometimes nothing is earned, other times a yellow or red card is given, or a free kick or penalty. You take all you can get and use it to your advantage, Sunderland have done fact playroles like that in the past as many times as any other team, including Newcastle, there just trying to earn that advantage to give them the edge.

As for you, I'd quit it with the swearing/name calling, unless you want to be banned for it, there's no need, its just friendly banter, if you want to start a fight, go to the pub and start complaining there, am really had enough at you digging a deep hole into this forum/thread/post and filling it with bullcrap, the forum stinks of it, and your to blame.

It's a game of football, not WW2, chill oot.

aye, well said, it`s only banter, as 4 the match, u cant lift an arm, like u cant pull a shirt, but u can handle(ref was rong). suprised by tiote`s play acting, 2 much going on, they all do it, thought jon o`shea was immense for the mackems, but we all knew wat super shola would do.look at the table lads

glad you think so too.

Glad you think and know am right buddy. :)

I a somehow knew Shola Ameobi would even it up, av never been so on edge in me life listening to a radio :D. Hes got a canny record, 7 goals in 6 darby matches, and once again he did what he does best, right in the dying minutes of the game.

As for the entire match, I think both teams did very well in the wet and slippy conditions, in my opinion both teams give it 110% and in the end it was an even draw.

Nobody won and nobody lost, so its all even, both managers shook hands at the end, and as far as a heard, there where no riots or punch ups in the supporters stands, which is a dam site better than what happend last year to say the least.

this was allways going to be a scrappy game and in the end a draw was pobaly a fair result both keepers played there parts and the toon were unlucky not to get two pens and after the red card sunderland were never in it but thats football and iam happy with the 4 points we have took :D:D better luck next season

your red n white army dont deserve to be in this league with all the biggest teams in the world ie man u chelsea newcastle liverpool tottenham but your there for now sick ov the talking prediction 2. 1 to the toon catermole sent off as he could not compete with a world class player like tiote
ba to score first then cisse and then an own goal by williamson
£10 returns 1 million pounds trust me and put it on boys
beachbuddy just remember the little bet i offered u which u would not accept swapping tops and taking pictures to put back on the site obviously your not very confident my red n white friend speak tommorrow 3 oclock if your not in the queue 8 mile long to jump off the wear bridge after another great thrashing xxx

After that performance i think yous dont deserve to be in that league if thatS the case..... all that for what nowt ya give it the biggun and ya cant back it up bang gans ya millions. LMFAO.:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

D---Day Newcastle v Sunderland FAIR-- RESULT

D---Day Newcastle v Sunderland FAIR-- RESULT

Weh lads ya na i got it rang but ya na i dee think it waas a fair result in the end and it cud of been disaster fer the georgies the maggies ofcourse as it cudda been 2-0 in the end.It was a punnishing game and sunnyland wud of deserved lossing the pointsfor the way they playedbut niver mind a point each will doo me. ha weh the lads at leest wee cud had oor heeds up wi pride-----:D:D:D:D:D

I would rather be a plum than a Mackem :)

Well lads what can I say just back from that place you call a stadium.i will say a draw was a fair result, but the so call hard man in the centre midfield went missing and was over shadowed by catts who play the full 90 will a yellow lumein.he persistently fouled and was only cautioned after 60mins aprox,I thought the ref had a good game all in all.the only thing I can comment is the hardman hit the turf holding his face, yes a straight red but tiote should get a Oscar for the way the delayed reaction occurred.
