St Mary's tonight....

Fished off the front of St Mary's Island tonight for my South Beach match - it was blowing an absolute hoolie and I was just about able to remain on my feet all evening (only got blown over once - took a nice crack on the elbow)

Still, my spirits were lifted with my best fish in competition so far this season (and second best of the winter), caught first chuck after 25 minutes..

Weighed in at 6lb 9.5oz - just a shame I couldn't get another bite for the rest of the match!! I could have gone home for a couple of hours, but that's fishing for you, the curse of the first chuck fish:roll eyes: Still, ended up winning both heaviest bag & fish so it was worth it in the end...

I could see a few other brave souls fishing down Crawleys & Crab Hill ways, but not many lights out tonight - I wonder why lol
