Well in the last 5 mins i have opened and counter checked 3 weather web sites and 1 tide site in prep of the first trip out at sea for a spot of fishing.

With 3 weeks of leave to use i can see some mid week trips going in along with the standard weekends..bring it on...half what we got last season will do me for 2011.

ITS STARTED :)

go on rich get yourself amongst them i was a bit dubious yesterday bu it was incredable for this time of year the sea is buzzing at the moment the boats that were out with us yesterday all had well over 20 fish each one boat had 67 upto 11lb so it is deffently the time to get out there

The sea is going to be like the A1 at rush hour this year, every man and his dog has a boat now :)

Yer i am putting the fishing rod on the boat Saturday and its fishing time.

totally agree there seems to be more and more getting boats every year and if this year is better than last year there should be plenty of full freezers

Sunday's forcast looks a little better than Saturday's, wind wise. Go for it:)

More people buying boats and venturing further afield in search of fish, must be a sign of how poor the beach fishing is getting.

Went down the marina this morning at 9.00 to give the boat a bit of TLC.:) What a difference a bit of sun makes, lads out i've never seen for months, cleaning thier boats and having a bit crack, things are starting to buzz...:D:D

Also tried some UPVC cream on the stubborn stains, worked a treat..:D

I have been trying to get down this weekend, but couldnt even manage to pick my spark plugs up from NPA because of transport issues.
Also im meant to be getting my bearings for my trailer, but same transport issues, i have to get the bearings done before 31st as im lifting her out for a spruce up.

Spent three hours having a good cleandown, service and paint today and i am happy to say its now all complete.

Yep looking good Richy, captains hat at the ready:D, spent sunday morning cleaning mine as well, the seagull sh!t does'nt half take some getting off, i could see the gits looking down as i was cleaning it, thinking we'll wait till he's finished..:D

lovely boat mate, and that engine looks immaculate.

I just picked up a couple sets of new plugs for mine, il be down at the weekend to fit them.
I will have plenty of time on my hands to get my vessel in ship shape as the mrs is going away for a few weeks towards the end of this month, so no excuses for me to get the jobs done this time.

I she is not bad for a 9 year old boat this July, mind she did spend 3 years of her life in dry dock not being used due to a previous owner being of ill health but never wished to part with her.
