Well the boats finally ready for its first voyage and I cannot put it off any longer. We have all the electrics, ship to shore, MaxSea GPS, fish finder, flares, Life Jackets so now there is no excuse but to take the plunge.

Going to launch at Hebburn launch on Sat at 7-8am so if you see a boat with some people on it that look worried its us. I think we are just going to do some simple stuff including approaching the slipway but will go to the mouth and maybe do a little fishing.

Wish me luck and maybe see you lot out there fairly soon..

late Rich?, you mean AFTER 5.00am .... goodness you'll miss the high tide (and the sunrise :) )

good luck joostan, we'll keep a watch on chan 8 and chan 6 .....

Dam right, boating should be fun not a char and getting up on a weekend that soon would be a char :)

Try and leave a few thou until i make it out :)

p.s its a 10.30am start now for Sat, will give you a buzz about 11 if you not already abck in.

Thanks all and dont suppose anyone can give me a hint on where I might be able to go nr the mouth of the Tyne for a first time fish? Even if the mackeral are close?

Mackerel no where near yet.

Fish wise take your pick, after 2 weeks of rough sea anywhere could fish, just have to find a pocket and catch.

I be going north but only been out once this year so what do i know :)
