welcome to nesa johnnyd i fished steetly on monday 1.30pm till 6.30pm had 9 whitey kept 2 well over a lb and 2 flatties was getting a fish every cast during daylight hours as soon as it got dark it went dead can't fathom it out everyone on there struggled after dark. good luck.
Blyth pier can be like that too Stevie, sometimes it will fish all day and stop when it gets dark, other days the opposite, there's never a pattern to it either
Your not wrong there coddy, when I used to fish Blyth beach regular you would sometimes get a week of good conditions. I might have got down 3 or 4 nights out of that week and it could range from excellent to nothing at all from one night to another.
I think that is one of the reasons we love this sport so much, the anticipation of catching, if we knew we were going to catch, it might be ok for a few nights but after that it wouldn't be the same at all.
now ya know why i like to fish a lot on a certain mark it is a no blanko most nights and mixed grounds and choices so you have to move about if fishing is slow but i do fish other parts of the northeast but why go anywhere if ya know ya wont catch fish go places ya know ya wont blank just my opinion
It's great to have a mark like that, especially when you can move about a bit onto different bottoms. There are a few places like that about our coast and with a bit of homework they can be found. Some places you can fish right around the clock without having to move too far. I have found two of them, it takes a bit of time but as lots of people on here have said, if you put the time and effort in you will get the rewards.
Too many people just want the info and don't want to do the hard work. It's ok getting the info but knowing what to do with it is important also. Someone can tell you a mark but if you are not casting into the exact spot you might not even get a bite. Just a few yards off can mean the difference from being a great night to being a blank. People like yourself that put the time in to study and fish a mark on a regular basis deserve the rewards they get.
i know what ya mean jim folk will say ere where do i get fish tell em info but doesnt always work out spot on there but like asays never 2 days alike even on marks that fished day before
