Got an ABu 6500 Rocket which I want to swap for a Penn 750 surfmaster or a shimano 8000 or similar fixed spool reel.
My second try at a multiplier but cannot get the hang of them, its just bird nest city for me.

heyy bud why dont ya get some lessons first ...thats a good reel ya have there buddy ...would love to offer ya one of my fixed spools but it would not do u justice..honestly a birds nest is only part of ya learning curve.

aye agree bud av just moved on from fixspools will neva go bk to a fixspool are less spinning thats about it
Av had a slosh 20 n that was adjusted for is and gave it to me mate as a had a mare.
after fishin doon kent in comp saw that the multiplier lads were catchin as they had the castin distance so thought ad try me luck again but alas was not to be had a hell of a time and used 3 spools o line even me bro tried helpin is but to no avail so stickin with wot a know best. am a fixed spool bitch ( hope thats ok to say)

pistol , having used both fixed spool and multipliers they both are good tools , but if ur birdnesting a multiplier, that may mean even with a fixed spool ur technique may not be right ...so if u r gunning(pardon the pun) for distance , without the right technique the most expensive fixed spool would not do u any justice. u r location say tyne and wear, d ya ever pop down the durham beaches? say horden ?
