Just bought a new spinning rod only 6 ft long but seems very good for the price £20 from fishing republic wanting to match it up with a small reliable reel any ideas or offers cheers boys

Any price range mick? Shimano alivio are ok and cheap around the £25 mark then the shimano exage around £50 are canny reels also the Okuma's as Mark said..If you want to spend a bit more then look at the Snowbee range like the raptor or kuroshio

Shimano Aernos 3000 fixed spool these are mint reels mate welcome to try mine any time i use it on kayak all the time and can cast just as good on shore a long way with braid on,

Mick I love this dinky little reel. Works perfectly with my 7ft spinning rod. Mark laughs at me, but it casts well and has pulled in fish to 2.5lbs. Cheep as chips, lightweight and does the job. Maybe a bit girlie for you though?
