Rod buying seems to be very seasonal, i couldn't get one of these for love nor money in the summer, ended up with an Anyfish Anywhere rod for light river work in ths summer months. I reckon everyone is after heavy Cod Rods this time of year and the lighter stuff isn't desirable.
