I did my first 200 metre cast on a factory built CME (with BNHGs), very very underrated rods and a great allrounder for our coastline (and brilliant for learning to cast on).

As for the guides, the only thing that really lets the CME down is the weight; sticking on some lightweight guides isn't going to make a damn bit of difference on that score and at least the BNHGs are bomb proof.

Good luck with the sale, will make a cracking rod for somebody

Surprised it hasnt gone yet...great price, great rod and it tends to be the one I pick up first now since getting a 2nd hand one a couple month back- all rounder as said. I have not found the weight to be an issue personally.

Wont be long before someone buys it.

Got a new carbon metal but still go back to my mk1 CME mate.... As you've said, very underrated rod. The BNHG guides are spot on aswell, nothing wrong with them at all.
