Im selling up
Built in Washington Crowther Industrial Estate in the Early 80's by Pateke Morton.
This is an excellent beach Caster Carbon Blank with Fuji Rings and Fuji Reel Clamp. This was a gift from my father who managed the factory next door.
This rod first fished the banks of the Tyne at Bill Quay, then South Pier at Shields. It was used for 2-3 years then only for odd occasions for the remaining 30 years.
I tried taking up the hobby again last year but its no longer for me.
I have photographed each of the 7 rings to show none are bent or worn and all thread and varnish is intact.
Designed to cast 6-9oz weight
Condition is good, just some paint chipping.
I have the original bag but it has big holes in the end (worthless).
Collection only, from Eighton Banks Gateshead (Weekends/Evenings) or North Hylton Sunderland (office hours)
