any backcasters out there if so what rods are you using nowadays has i still use the conoflex energizer and it,s a bit out date.

my son uses a 14.3 WR300 and a reducer so now comes in at 15.3
work very well for us...

have a look at this

i use a zziplex i got of dav vicary no name on it and a zziplex quatra tri-core

dean bass uses a appollo 14ft dav has said 14ft wr300 and the b14/b15

but like all casting find a rod your happy with and stay with it

ive had a go with the conoflex loinheart i thought the but was way to soft just my opinion of course

this is me using the tri core pete thain says the best backcaster for style is gary setchell ive not seen him cast

I don't mean to be rude but I think the style seen in the video by Dave Vicary is somewhat ugly. If he tried that on the rock ends he'd end up up to his neck. Do others think that it looks smoother with a scarboro reel and a rounder swing? It's difficult for me to say as I've never seen myself cast out.
