  • Back to the flat arc

    Hello guys,

For the past year or so i've played around with the high swing pendulum. It abandoned me pretty bad at the last two tournaments so I'm going back to the flat arc style.

Here are a couple of clips from yesterday. Feedback is appreciated. Peter, I'd really like your thoughts.

    Thanks,

tommy your cast looks very good as always
    the thing is
1 what gives you the best distance
    2 what feels more natural
3 what are you happiest doing
4 use the force dont give in to the dark side

      Ian ,

Please note that the dark side feels so good and you don't hit the ground as much !

But on a serious note I feel that if you have the power the flatter style can deliver very well and a Peter Thain showed during the primo when he beat out Scott for second place.

      Regards

must admit inford, i thought we were heading towards a star wars moment.
having confidence in yourself is fine -when things are going well, but if you have doubts that your casting is lacking something, asking someone to watch you and advise, is the only way to go, especially when the person you ask has a good eye and the expertise to put you right.

Slow the middle bit, straighten the right, and by god pull that left, and hard!

Thanks for all the input guys. It is genuinely appreciated.

                Ian,

1 - That is a good question...lol. My best ever cast (practice) was hit with a flat arc and 20+ mph wind. Second best cast was a high swing with a steady 15 mph wind. so it is hard to answer. I did set the US record with a flat arc back in 05.

2 - I love the way the high swing feels. Seems to require less effort but much more timing critical.

                3 - I just love casting.

4 - Young Skywalker fell to the dark side...lol. It feels good sometimes.
