I have seen Peter using the Aspire to devestating effect last year, not sure if it was a production model because I heard he was testing a tournament version of the aspire that shimano were developing. From what I've seen of them nice light rods that cast along way in the right hands.N.W.S.A straight outta Cockerham

aspire to a shimano
yes as john R said i had one last year. as far as i know and think its 95% CERTAIN THAT PETERS PRE-PRODUCTION TOURNIE ROD IS THE 14FT VERSION. the 13ft is more tippy and more of a typical fishing rod. the 14ft model has a stiffer more parabolic action ,is VERY light in weight, very slim, but very strong,NO problems with the one i had. highly recommended
