  • x cast

just been reading on another site about it, some people don,t understand what it is ,how it works, what its capable of. developed by mr kieth white from jersey a couple of years ago , the basics of the cast are an aerialised ground cast .almost without saying ,a perfect cast keeping the rod tip leader and sinker trajectory in plane. those who are willing to try it will get a eye opener as regarding extra distance.its works for fishing too. my good mate big dave has made the x cast his own and if records are broken with it ,thats a good thing is,nt it

    Still working on it WILL
It,s easy to time the cast with a strong wind at your back as the lead dont go much above the shoulder
let the lead drift outside the tip as you turn then hit IT hard as you can .
but hit it to soon and you will burn your thumb.
IT,s THE POWER OF THE X

          x cast

funnily, i can remember a long time ago, some of the lads from the n.east casting if not the same a similar cast. but it did,nt have a title. the other thing that baffles me is, --"aerial ground cast" which is a contradiction in terms unless the caster is up off the ground at the point of delivery
i much preferred baz,s goooooooo-on chukkin style anyway.

cheers baz, somebody had to say it. i reckon some of these young bucks will be telling us they invented bed- sports next, or that technically they do it better.

yep your right baz kellands style is a ringer of the x type cast,i think kieth borrowed components of it and other styles and developed this particular style.not many people take it on ,why, it will break records i,m sure, give it time.........

i know its been about years its Keith White that gave it a name Xcast
I used to call it a dead swing or cross tip cast.
in the end there is nowt new but we all do it a little diffrent it what works for me at the moment.
so K.I.S.S. GETS THE JOB DONE.
