Hello all yr big tossers.Im thinking about taking up this tournaments casting thingaby.
Now Im going to need a little help as its a canny bit ago that I hoyed a sinker over grass.
So I will list first the gear Iv got so you can advise me if its still up to the job.
Next I will tell you my best hoy Iv done , you can tell me what you think.
Then after that the best oils and tricks the lads use these days to get them extra yards.
Ok the gear -Rods 1 EDGAR SEALEY BLUE POWER
    2 MILBRO BAREBONES 4-6 OZ
3 SPLITCANE 11FT WITH BRASS SPIGOTS (MY BEST)
    4 HARDY TOURNEY 12FT(BIT OF A BEAST)
Ok the Reels 1 INTREPID SEA STREAK SUPER
    2 PENN SQUDDER 140 MOD
    3 MITCHELL 602P
Also for the reel Iv got a" Dons antilash" stops backlashes and birdnests.
My best hoy was 123yrds in a gale up me backside and casting down a steep hill( I only stepped it out so cudda been a little less.)
    Now to the tricks..........
Some people use thin oil I belive. Now I use thin oil but its for putting together me brass spigots on me splitcane beach caster.
What about this light line thing will 30lb be ok cos thats what I use(bought bulk spool some years ago).25miles of it.
Do you hoy still using 4or 5 links of chain for a sinker ?.
Any help you boys can give will be helpfull.
PS anybody still gannin to seaham football grass, Cos I can only go if the grass is dry cos me wheels get stuck in the mud.

very good harry the teas runnung down me nose ha ha ha the gear u have sounds very high tech suitable for any thing the chain link will come in handy for fishing hendon prom to especially seeing the groyn is going and affected the tide run by 30 nauticall knots the split cane rod will come in very handy when fishing a low pressue seems to attract lots of insects up the field also so u can use it to kill them has for oil use tuna especially if u like to go diving too also helps the maggots to slip straight off u but i no u and you will bring your secret tool mr zipplex and cast twice as far than 123 i heard u once hit 525 cheers tone

Tony, You may mock but when that groyn drops there be some tide running boy.
Tell you what I think,If you get low pressure and big tide together with a big noreastly gale combinded with the sun just dropping down past the horizion.
Then that there groyn drops away.............................
        And its in January...........
        On a friday......
Would be a good night to stop in and watch the tele.
John, you kidding me on, you telling me you got on of them floppy woppys.
Is it the mark 3 or the 4 cos if its the 4 its got loads more wopp and a bit less flop.
I like them when you walked down the blast with one of them over your shoulder, heads turned. And if you combinded it with a mitchell 602 well! you were the dogs b....ks.
And if you had you NCB donky jacket on combind with matching wellys you just looked the biss.
