NWSA Sunday 16.10.05
This was the Trophy presentation day and Members’ raffle. It was a Light Line event, casting weights of 100 grm 75grm and 50grm and down. Any other weights cast were not measured unless it was a potential record.
Weather conditions on the day were quite favourable. The morning started with a heavy dew present but soon cleared with a little sun and a 10 mph wind from the east, variable during most of the day. The afternoon warmed up and distances moved upward for some casters. Of course there were some who never quite got the hang of the reel tune, for that little blighter, the 50grm,it’s mean and unforgiving ways soon brought you to your knees begging forgiveness!! :P
The members’ raffle was held around lunch time and was something to behold as the number of prizes seemed endless, with rods and reels from sponsors including ‘Gerrys of Morecambe’……. ‘Zziplex’……and a host of prizes from the members. Not forgetting ‘ULTIMA’ who have very generously supplied the line for the events.
