NWSA casting results Sunday 17 July 2005
The day started with some cloud cover with little or no wind from the West turning North West. The day soon turned into a scorcher with plenty of sunburn by the late afternoon. No PB’s this month due mainly to the conditions, but yet another record fell to Peter Thain for the 18 grm multiplier a very respectable 123-.0-2.
John Walker set the centre line to 9 inch, while newcomers Andrew Mellor and Chris Pritchard cast very respectable distances.
To the amusement of some Peter Thain and Peter Ingham set up a plug casting target and then proceeded to throw a 7grm plug on a 5ft rod with both multiplier and fixed spool !!The others soon changed their minds after they were urged to try it and it became very addictive.
