NWSA results Sunday 12. 08.07
Foul weather greeted the casters in the morning with rain and a Southerly wind of 8 mph but then, after the first round, it went across the court and stayed there all morning .
With a change in court direction and a Westerly wind, 10 to 12mph gusting to 18 mph down the court most of the afternoon, the race was on and conditions were great and everybody was trying for the big one!!
The pressure remained quite constant around 1005.
Josh Evans won the day with a tremendous cast and PB, but hot on his heels came Steve Anderson who had travelled over from the North East. But not to be outdone Steve took the centre line at four inches at over 270 yd for another PB. Lots of PB’s and one from 13yr old Junior, Lucy Hughes, who after instruction from instructor Lionel Stead, had a great cast of 85 yds for the very first time. Junior Kyle Powell was spotted swinging the lead for the first time, while Junior Ethan Atkinson continued with instruction from Dad!
Long grass hampered finding the crack offs and it turned into a long day, especially for the secretary who left the field about 8.00pm!
