Fergus, my sons dog, they named him, I just look after him, train and feed him and take him when we go to the caravan, is a sprocker, cross springer/cocker and is one of the most layed back dogs you will ever meet, when other dogs are running round in circles he sits down and watches them.

Fergus is a wise dog then Alan, you dont see many around. Unlike the headless Springers you get occassionaly.

A bad days fishing is better than a good day at work.

three dogs in Marden Nature resrve this morning, two of them spaniels, they where running round all over, pinching his ball, Fergus came and sat on my lap and looked at them as if they where bonkers.

don't work Fergus but take him to the game fairs, best result last year was at Harewood House where we came third, after a run off against three labs, out of 144 on the Sunday, came in the top ten over the two days, 27 out of thirty points 1st day 29 on the second day, he just took to it naturally, as you say Bill very intelligent dogs. Have come second in a few events but not against the class of dog at Harewood, unfortunately this year not many events in North Yorks where caravan goes, even Harewood is not having a game fair.
