OOOOhhhh....Had to think long & hard about this one.

I\'m sure I\'ve left out some classics but anyway, here goes.....

Get Carter 1971 often held up as a \'60s classic but was made in 1971

Metropolis 1926 a milestone in film making and way ahead of its\' time

Bloody Sunday 2002 A film made for TV with James Nesbitt in a REAL acting role

Blade Runner 1982 Dark, moody & very atmospheric. Visuals brilliant throughout, but the final scene with the dove and the death of the android is haunting.

The Killing Fields 1984 A Cambodian doctor, HaingNor,(who had personally suffered at the hands of the barbaric Khmer Rouge) took one of the starring roles in his one & only film.

Monsters Inc. 2001 classed as \"comedy / children / animation\"......it\'s a masterpiece in computer graphics and animation

All The Presidents Men 1976 gripping stuff ....no need for car chases, huge explosions and the like, if the story\'s so intense.

Far From The Madding Crowd 1967 \'60s icons Alan Bates, Terence Stamp and Julie Christie at their peak in the film of the Thomas Hardy novel.

            Saved the best \'til last..........
CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG ! ! !........STILL not been beaten in my opinion......BRILLIANT !

T.C got to agree with you on blade runner,, I met Ridlet Scott once,, I have the Directors cut on video, a mutch better ending than the origional,,, do you know were he got the idea of the location from?? you know the buildings, the noise the grey sort of out look almost black out look of the film?? Iy was from when he was a kid walking along the steel works bridge in Hartlepool, if you dont know what that is, It was a bridge that was about 5 miles long that ran right through the center of Hartleypool\'s massive steel works,or thats howlong it felt when my Granddad used to walk me & the dog along it,to the beach ,, I was only 5yr old and it scared me then. and would probably scare me now,,, just the smell the noises, the builbings towwering above you,, I can see were he got his insperation from,,
