  • floppy discs

    having a good old clear out, got quite a few floppy discs with games and other stuff on from a rather old pc i had. Does anybody know where they can be taken to be recycled or is it \"THE BIN\"

    stick em in the pc and format them if there 3.5

      they are 3.5 bri, new pc hasnt got a floppy drive and very rarely use the old one. Although my daughter is going to take old pc when she moves. Does anybody use floppy discs now?

          I\'ll have you know I\'ve got the book\'s accounts on floppy....... plenty space left as well

            ive still got about 20-30 with stuff from about 4 years back,images and docs for the most part i should stick em on a cd and gain an empty box

            always handy to have in case you need to stick something on them and your too mean to use a cd

              just transfered some info from a couple of floppies to a disc, not having a floppy drive on new pc had to use old pc, of course it had a new works prog on, what a job i had, pc wouldnt let me access files because i was not the registered owner etc. Had to rename, re save onto new works and then copy to disc. Could not copy straight to disc from floppy drive. Busy formatting floppies in case daughter wants them, god is my old pc slow.
