    \"and another thing
shearer was found NOT TO BE GUILTY on the challenge on neil lennon and it was accidental\"

Aye, that\'s right Paul, the FA wouldn\'t want to upset the england captain
    Cheers, Keith.

      erm to quote you davy
He would have had to join the queue, thousands of mackems in front of him!

The quote from the book is a cracking reason as to why sunderland fans are calling him a hero

think there would be more mags infront off shearer if that was the case lol ,

i honestly think keane wont be your manager in 18 months time for a few reasons

3 he will expect free flowing attractive football [ cmon its sunderland ffs ]

A manager moulds the team to play the he way he wants the team to play. I thought you would know that. Come on, NUFC were hardly known for free flowing football before keegan took over were they?!??!

He might not have the experience as a manager but who does when they start out. I say give the bloke a chance to prove what he can do
Aye, might as well start off at a little club down on their luck. There\'s not many start at big clubs and do well. Look at Southgate, Brian Robson!

          Wait for the bite

\"ok it was brian who asked the question iam getting old and under the influence of several glasses of a very nice merlot!!! \"

          Rose tinted glasses Flatty? :P

Proberbly the 2nd Division But NEVER to the THIRD

Crowd always seems to be an issue - but cant find a league game ever being less than half the actual capacity of the ground

None -BUT he KNEW what it meant to the Fans - Does Keane ??

AND one more thing i cannot see ANYONE at Nufc EVER admitting that your bitterest rivals are BIGGER

Quote - If i can get this right we will be bigger than Newcastle - Naill Quinn - Unquote

Quote - we have the systems in place to be bigger than Newcastle - Roy Keane - Unquote

NOW that is priceless - you couldnt even buy that quote on your Master Card :P :P

and by the way this is getting a bit tedious - but S`pose it keeps everyones fingers supple for the catch reports in the next few weeks

after having a look there is a few games that wouldnt reach capacity crowd if doubled ,but hey so be it

\"Where were Newcastle heading before Keegan took over???\"

My memory must be shot, I thought Keegan returned as manager in 92 and saved then from relegation to the old third division? Didn\'t it go down to the last game of the season Leicester away and there was talk of them going bankrupt if they didn\'t survive? I\'m sure Keegan had no previous mangerial experience, but I might be wrong.
The lowest league crowd that season was about 13000, I can\'t remember Sid James only ever holding that amount.

I\'ll not mention what happened the following season, Andy Cole etc lol

                    Cheers, Keith.

Also forgot to say, of course Newcastle are currently a bigger club than Sunderland, higher league status, bigger crowds, bigger turnover etc. I don\'t see what\'s wrong with stating the obvious.

ps Ya right Bri, this is getting a bit tedious

Bet you\'s aint got draught stongbow in the ground, Knerr Knerr!!
                      Cheers, Keith.

20th in Division 2 - BUT the Premier League started the season after - So if we had of gone down ,we would have STILL been in Division 2 - and i bow at your feet for the greater knowledge of the crowd attedances

and yes Strongbow would be a bonus at SJP ,we might have it already ,its a long time since i actually had a pint ,when its served in plastic glasses ,it takes on a whole new taste - Sh*te - this is my last post on this as its boring the T*ts off me Ha Ha

cmon brih its friendly banter [ until we play each other lol ]

as you said bri we never went down thxs to beating leicester away
but i recall sunderland did go down because they failed to beat the mighty brentford over 2 legs [ 5-4 on agg i think ]

what gets me is why are sunderland fans so bitter towards shearer ??
cant really think of a sunderland player that us newcastle fans hate with such hatred apart from eric gates of course but hey everyb ody hated him lmho
