  • Advice on buying a camera required

Looking to buy my first digital camera next month(from my leek show winnings)
Basically it will be used for taking fish shots and general holiday and scenery snaps. I am looking for an idiot proof aim and fire camera. My boss at work has suggested an Olympus Mju 7 (weatherproof) will fit the bill. Cost £170.

    Any other ideas chaps???

My wife has just bought a Fuji Fine PX A600, what a cracking little camera and takes great vidoes.

personally I\'d say go for a nikon compact, plenmty of good uns in that price range, superb lenses, focus incredibly close if need be, and very fast to focus and capture the image. which is one thing I always hated about the fuji we used to have, you press the button and it\'s half a second or so before the image is captured, which makes snapping a moving target a nightmare

you can get 4 to 5 megapixel nikon coolpix cameras for £100 to £150 which leaves enough for a 1gig memory card to drop in

had both a fuji s3300 and an s5500, bought within the last 18 months and both given away because of the above!
