Met Harry from Whitby site at Saltholme this morning, we set up camp at about 11am outside fox den with three lads from Barnsley, to say the least there was some good banter, anyway we sat, and sat nothing except rain which had us heading for one of the hides. At about 3pm two of the Barnsley lads went for some grub, half an hour later Harry went for his missus, still nothing, I had decided to see it to the death, the other Barsnley lad left at 4pm, with me sitting on my own. At about 4.30pm the sun came out, fifteen minutes later the guide was getting everyone out the hide down the path and locking it up, so I thought that was it and started to get gear sorted, when over the hillock came the vixen, got a few shots before she disappeared over the other side, well at least I got some I thought, whereupon she reappeared and gave the few of us there a good fifteen minutes photo time. Unfortunately I didn’t see the remaining two cubs, she did have three but a dog fox from another den killed one and took it away. Below are a couple of shots that I got. Happy but absolutely knackered.

Stunning Pics Alan....Well worth the effort mate"And I looked, and behold'a pale horse; and his name that sat on him was death, and hell followed with hi, and power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword and with hunger, and with the beasts of the earth"
